Our Journey Begins!

This space is where I’ll share my author’s journey, new children’s books, children’s book reviews, author interviews, and snippets of Octavia and Ludovic’s on-ongoing adventures.

But first, I thought I would share the journey behind the story of Octavia Can Do It!

My Inspiration

I’m known as Nonna (Grandmother) to my grandchildren, Octavia and Ludovic, who inspired me to write my first children’s book, Octavia Can Do It!.

Octavia and Ludovic love to help their mama in the kitchen when she’s baking. She teaches them how to measure the ingredients and lets them stir the batter. That’s when the chaos begins!

My Why

After reading countless beautiful stories, I decided to write Octavia Can Do It!, making Octavia and Ludovic the characters of their own experiences and encouraging children to do things by themselves and ask for help if needed.

This book is my legacy to my grandchildren.

In my next blog post, I will introduce Amariah Rauscher, whose illustrations brought my story to life.
